Hi again, friends! It’s me — Aspen, your favorite mama-in-waiting. Today I was very busy preparing for my little puppy beans to arrive, and honestly, I think I deserve a treat (or ten).
Today’s Menu: Fancy Lady Edition
Let me tell you… pregnancy has turned me into a bit of a foodie. Gone are the days of plain old kibble — now I’m dining like royalty. For breakfast? Scrambled eggs and liver, please. Afternoon snack? A dollop of cottage cheese hits the spot. I eat for at least six now, thank you very much.
Backyard Makeover, Dog Edition
I’ve decided that the yard needed some… creative upgrades. So I took it upon myself to test out every single corner as a possible nesting site. I dug behind the bushes. I tried the flower beds. Drop some more ideas on where I should try out in the comments below! And even better share my blog with your friends to help me with ideas. Gotta keep the options open, right?
Unfortunately, my hoomans don’t seem to appreciate my landscaping talents. Something about “giant holes” and “why is there dirt in the house again.” They’ll thank me later when I find the perfect puppy spa location.
Brushed to Pawfection
Every night before bed, I get my royal brushing session. I close my eyes, lean into the comb, and pretend I’m at a fancy dog salon. It’s my moment of calm before the storm of puppy squeaks arrives. Also, I like to shed dramatically — it adds flair to the furniture.
So that’s all for today! I’m sleeping lots, snacking like a queen, and digging as if I’m starring in my own HGTV backyard show. My puppies are getting closer by the day… and I can’t wait to meet them (and maybe dig one more hole before they get here).
