Hi fur-iends, it’s me again — Aspen, your determined (and slightly dramatic) mama-to-be! Today was filled with excitement, dirt, and one very suspicious thermometer. Let me give you the scoop:
Breakfast? No Time, Must Dig!
This morning, I skipped my usual gourmet breakfast of scrambled eggs and yogurt. Why? Because the backyard needed more holes. You never know when the perfect spot for puppies will reveal itself. I was out there early, nose to the ground, paws flying. I’m basically a one-dog excavation crew at this point.
Thermometer Tag: My New Favorite Game
So… my humans have been checking my temperature every day. Apparently, it helps them know when my puppies are coming. But I’ve decided to spice things up — now we play hide and seek before the thermometer comes out. Catch me if you can, hoomans!
They said today that my temp is starting to drop — and that means something big is coming soon. My little ones are almost here!
Nest: Mostly Fluffed & Ready
After a long day of digging and dodging, I finally decided my nest is acceptable (for now). It’s cozy, soft, and right where I want it. I did a few test spins and snuggled in with a satisfied sigh. I think I’m ready.
Maybe Tonight?
Something feels different. I can’t explain it… but I have a feeling. Maybe tonight’s the night I meet my babies. I’m a little nervous, but mostly excited. And my humans are on full puppy watch, so I know I’m in good paws.
I’ll keep you posted, but until then — wish me luck and send belly rubs!
Fluffily yours,
Aspen (Head Digger, Hide-and-Seek Champion, Soon-to-Be Mom)
