Aspen’s Puppy Diary: Still Nesting... Still Waiting... Still Pregnant

Hey friends…

It’s me, Aspen, reporting live from my very fluffed, very sacred, do-not-disturb nest.

Let me tell you something: labor is no joke. I’ve been in Stage 1 for over 24 hours now, and I am officially EXHAUSTED. My hoomans keep checking on me like, “Any pups yet?” and I just stare at them like, do I look like I’m done baking these puppies?!

 Nest Mode: Locked In

I haven’t moved much. I’m curled up in my cozy spot, breathing heavy, shifting around, trying to get comfortable (which, by the way, is not possible when you’ve got a belly full of puppies doing somersaults). But I’m ready — like, really ready.

 This Is Taking FOREVER

I thought this would be quick! Like, “Oh hey, I’m having puppies!” and boom — babies. But nooope. Apparently, this part takes ages while my body preps for the big moment. Honestly, I didn’t sign up for a full-day (plus!) waiting game.

 Everyone's on Watch

My humans are hovering. They’ve got towels ready, heating pads set, the puppy scale out… and I’m just here like, “Can someone pass the ice chips and dim the lights?” I’m trying to stay strong, but this mama is so tired.

I don’t know exactly when these little floofballs are making their debut, but I do know it’s soon. So cross your paws for me — because the next post in this diary might just be the puppy reveal.

Hanging in there with every paw,

Aspen (Too Pregnant To Function, but Still Fabulous)
